Teens age 16 and older learn life-saving driving skills in a controlled environment
Planned by: Lenny Zwik
This event has been postponed until October. If you were signed up as a volunteer or a student, more details will be communicated to you via email.
If you’ve volunteered in the past, thanks again for your past participation. We have our first school of 2020 scheduled for April 18th, 2020, at the PSTC (Public Safety Training Center) and it is open for registration so please spread the word.
We are 12 weeks out so I want to put out the call for volunteers far enough in advance for you to schedule time. As before we’ll need volunteers for setup the day before the school, April 17th from 10AM until 2PM and all day Saturday the 18th beginning at 7:00AM.
We truly do make a difference. I’ve received emails from the parents of two students who said their daughters’ successfully navigated hydroplaning situations using the skills they learned just days prior. If we only prevent one crash, our efforts are worth it.
If you want to be a coach, and have not been certified previously, please visit http://streetsurvival.org/schools/become-a-coach/, and complete the online certification process.
If you're available to volunteer, please contact Lenny Zwik (email@example.com) with the following info:
There will be four exercises. We'd like to have one person manning the entry and exit points to each exercise and a third person shagging cones when necessary. We will also need assistance controlling traffic into the parking area in the morning. There will probably be other needs arise during the day.
To that end, please plan on arriving at 7:00AM the day of the program so I can make assignments and give everyone a quick briefing and overview of the lay of the land.
The Public Safety Training Center is located at 4675 Farm to Market 1626, Kyle, TX 78640.
Thanks again, more to come.
