Historic Castroville Drive

June 27th, 2026

Visit "Little Alsace in Texas"

Planned By Sri Kamma & Mary Beth Cordon

Join us for a scenic summer drive through some of the best roads in the Hill Country as we make our way to the charming and historic town of Castroville, Texas—known as the "Little Alsace of Texas."
Founded in 1844 by French empresario Henri Castro, Castroville became home to immigrants from the Alsace region of France.

These settlers brought with them a unique blend of French and German heritage, language, architecture, and traditions that continue to thrive today. With nearly 100 historic homes and a rich cultural legacy, Castroville offers a fascinating glimpse into a piece of Europe right here in Texas.

But this drive isn't just about history-it's about what we love most: great roads, beautiful scenery, amazing food, and spending time with fellow BMW enthusiasts.
