Never one to be constrained by original ideas, I decided to stick with last month’s theme. We’ll be starting in San Marcos and heading northeast toward Lockhart and passing through Dale on the way to our stop at the Buc-ee’s in Bastrop. After leaving, we’ll head northeast toward Elgin. Those of you who went on last October’s Canyon Lake & BBQ drive may remember driving the first part of this route in the opposite direction. We’ll turn southeast from there and end the drive at the intersection of E Slaughter Lane and I-35. For those who would like to stop to eat, there are nearly a dozen restaurants across the highway in Southpark Meadows
